The Technical Projects Company is used to taking an idea from the point of conception and seeing it through to completion and launch - and we can do the same thing with your business application, product or service.

Pricing
The question we are most frequently asked is "How much is your 10 page website ?".  This is a bit like asking "How long is a piece of string ?".  The answer is that it depends upon a number of factors, but we do appreciate that its useful to at least have a guide.

As a rough guide :

• A basic HTML-only website with 5 pages costs from £299.
• A wordpress website you can update youself costs from £399.
• A larger 10 page website with built-in e-commerce costs from £699.
• A database-driven website with a full content-management allowing you to change contents and structure whenever you want will typically cost between £1250 and £3500
• A bespoke database-driven application, with social media, responsive design to work on all platforms, specially created graphics etc will typically cost between £5000 and £10000

Hosting and Domain Names
We own and operate our own USP, Names and Space. This means we can host your website and arrange for it to be published on the internet for you, register and domain names you need etc. Many other web design companies will expect you to set-up the hosting yourself and provide them with access details - something that most people outside of the Internet industry will struggle with!

Email Services

Each of our hosting packages comes with a different number of email addresses and email aliases.

An email address gives you a dedicated address to receive email from and send email from.  It is typically of the format name@yourdomain.com.  Full instructions on how to configure your PC to collect email from your email address are given on our support website.

An email alias is a forwarder. Email sent to the email address is forwarded to another email address.  This may be the email address associated with your domain or a completely separate email address (eg a hotmail address).

Our website hosting packages support webmail so even if you're out of the office, as long as you have access to an internet connected device, you will always ben able to send and receive your email.

e-commerce
If you're looking to buy something, what do you do? You search the internet, compare prices, and if its cheaper online, order it there and then, right ? Well, so do your customers, so if you're not already selling your products or services online, you are missing out a massive percentage of your potential customer base.We can build you a new e-commerce website or integrate e-commerce into your existing website - allowing you to keep on selling hours after you've closed your doors for the day, and to the 1.2Billion people with an internet connection across the world!

Content Management Systems
A website with a content management system allows you to update it's contents and other features yourself.  The database is database-driven with a password-protected admin/control panel.  You can simnply change the text on a webpage and changes appear on your website automatically.

More advanced websites include facilities for uploading images, documents, adding new pages, managing a subscriber newsletter function, altering homepage layouts etc.

Our proprietary SiteWeaver CMS system can be integrated into any of our websites and provides all of the above features plus more (a cut-down version is also available for those needing to change just the text on one or two pages).

Bespoke Helpdesk Systems

The Technical Projects Company has experience of the design, implementation, and support of large-scale bespoke HelpDesk systems for major household name companies.

Our systems log faults/issues, send out updates, allow those with problems to access their own current and past records and add updates themselves, automatically escalate after pre-defined amounts of time or problem severity and provide management reports on parameters such as time-to-fix, SLA adhesion, outstanding and escalated issues etc.

All systems are bespoke - designed specifically to your requirements around a central common core functionality.  In this way, our systems match your own processes as opposed to many off-the-shelf solutions which force you to adapt your processes to suit the their workings !  We simply do not work this way.

Websites for the Visually Impaired

Quite apart from regulation under the Disability Discrimination Act, by depending upon a website which some potential customers cannot read, you are excluding yourself from business from a significant percentage of the market.
